Bishop Clinic
Updated: 1 day ago
I recently had the chance to photograph Bishop Clinic in Manchester.

It was a new place for me, and before I visited, I didn’t know much about the clinic or the work they do. When I arrived, I found a clean, modern clinic in a newly refurbished building. The team were friendly, welcoming and very professional.

I brought my studio lighting and photographed the team, along with a few photos of the clinic itself.
While I was there, I had the chance to speak with Charles and learn more about the business and the services they provide.

Bishop Clinic provides private medical services including infant and adult circumcision, tongue tie assessment and treatment for babies and adults, as well as home visits for suitable procedures.
I found it really interesting to hear how the business has developed over the years and how many different services they now provide.
A Little About Bishop Clinic
I asked Charles a few questions about the clinic and the work they do.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you got into this field?
“I have worked in private medical services for many years, initially through circumcision services and by supporting doctors with their private clinical work. Over time, our services have grown to include infant and adult circumcision, tongue tie assessment and treatment for babies and adults, and other private medical services.”

How long have you been providing circumcision services, and what led you to specialise in this area?
“I have been providing circumcision services for around 15 years. What began as a specialist service gradually developed through experience, referrals and working closely with doctors and families.”

What is most important to you when welcoming a family to the clinic?
“That people feel comfortable, listened to and well looked after. We want every patient or family to feel that they have time to ask questions and that their care is personal rather than rushed.”

What do you feel makes your service different from others?
“Experience, accessibility and continuity of care. We have looked after thousands of patients and families, and we place a great deal of emphasis on communication before, during and after treatment.”

You also offer home visits. Why do some families choose this option?
“For suitable procedures and circumstances, we can arrange treatment in the patient’s home. Families often choose this for convenience, privacy and because it can be much easier with a new baby or a busy household.”

What are some of the questions or concerns parents commonly have before their appointment?
“Most questions are about what will happen on the day, pain relief, healing, aftercare and what is normal afterwards. We try to explain everything clearly beforehand so families know what to expect.”

How do you support families after the procedure?
“Aftercare is a major part of our service. We provide clear instructions and ongoing support, including the ability to contact our team with questions and, where appropriate, send updates so that we can advise during recovery.”

What have you learned from working with so many different families?
“That every patient and every family is different. Good clinical care is important, but so are listening, communication, patience and adapting the service to the individual.”

What does a typical day look like for you?
“No two days are exactly the same. A typical day can include clinic appointments, procedures, tongue tie consultations, speaking with patients and parents, arranging bookings, supporting doctors and dealing with aftercare and follow-up.”

What are you most proud of when you look back at the journey of the business?
“I am most proud of the trust we have built. Thousands of people have chosen our services, much of our work comes through recommendation, and we now have more than 2,000 online reviews across our two listings.”

What has been the biggest change in the business over the years?
“The biggest change has been the scale and range of what we do. We have grown from a specialist circumcision service into a broader private medical service, including tongue tie services for babies and adults and adult circumcision.”

What do you hope to achieve in the future?
“We want to continue developing our clinic and expanding the range of high quality private medical services we can offer, while keeping the personal approach and accessibility that have always been central to the service.”

The Importance of Authentic Business Photography
I really enjoy photographing businesses because I get to meet the people behind them and hear their stories.
For this session, I wanted the photographs to feel professional but also natural, so the team could look like themselves while still having polished images for their website and business.
I think this is really important for any business.
When potential clients visit your website or LinkedIn page, they want to see who is behind the business. They want to know who they will be speaking to, who they will be meeting and who they are trusting.
Sometimes, a photograph can create that first little connection before you have even spoken to someone.
We buy from people.
And I believe that authentic photographs can help create that connection and build trust from the very beginning.
