Michael & Steven

Michael contacted me because he and his brother, Steven, needed new photos for their website. They are accountants who run the business together and wanted to replace their stock images with authentic, original photos. We had a Zoom consultation where I showed Michael some examples, and he shared their vision. We agreed on a time and location for the shoot.

On the day of the session, it was wonderful to meet the two brothers in person in Manchester city centre. The area was quiet, and they knew exactly what they wanted. For example, Michael wanted a photo near a truck, explaining that many of their clients are in the construction industry.

It’s important when posting to focus on one type of client. In this case, if Michael posts about construction, it’s perfect to show a related photo. In his post, he could say something like, "You handle the construction, and I’ll take care of the accounting."

Sometimes, it’s good to source existing images for content, and other times, to create them specifically for the project. Either way, it’s best to pair strong visuals with your messaging and posting. In the shot where they’re walking together, they wanted to represent Manchester with the iconic bee symbol, as many of their clients are based here.

It was a great way to incorporate Manchester into their branding. They also brought umbrellas for a fun shot with the "old city" behind them. Even though it wasn’t raining (fortunately or unfortunately, lol), the grey sky added to the mood of the image.

They also wanted a photo with a client, so we found a volunteer model. Now they have an excellent image of Steven talking with a client, which adds an authentic touch to their portfolio.

We had a fantastic time exploring different cafés and locations to find the best spots for their images. If you’re looking to upgrade your website with authentic photos or create a batch of images for your LinkedIn posts, I’d love to help you build your personal brand! Your business deserves the best.
